I may not have kept up my blog, but my running seems to be going along fine.
I haven't officially began any training plan despite a fast approaching 1/2 marathon in September. My long runs have been on the trails for the most part. I haven't done long distance, but I have run hard and for a couple hours at a time. I am hoping that a 2-hour trail run, even though it may cover a lot less distance translates out to a 2-hour longer distance road run.My Asics Trail GT-2120 shoes are working great.
I ran a 5K road race last week-end. This race is a very hilly, challenging course. It is a 2-loop course through the vineyards of Beamsville. Last year I was slow enough to enable me to see the 4 leaders pass me right before the finish. This year I was faster and I was able to glance back and see the winner turn into the finishing chute. I ran a PB for that course but I didn't break the 30-minute mark. I ran a 30:08 on my watch. My kid ran in the 1K, I hope they catch the running bug, I really want them to grow up loving a healthy lifestyle.

Well Marty,
You got me doing the "trail thing."
So much more enjoyable in the wilderness.
I bet if you keep up the running for your lifetime, your son will follow in your footsteps. 2 of my 3 boys have started running with me. It's awesome. The sad thing for me is that my middle son can already kick my butt. LOL!
Good running...
