SuperDave's December 1st post

"The great art of life is sensation, to feel that we exist, even in pain."
Lord Byron

I just finished reading SuperDave's post from December 1st. He posted a great from the heart weight related post that anyone who has any kind of weight issue can relate to. If you are a "big loser" like myself it really hits home.

I have been trying to back on track for the past 6 weeks. It is a real hard struggle (potato chips are evil). I have gained between 10-14 lbs. and I have shied away from the place I need the most, Weight Watchers. I think it is embarrassment that has kept me away. Yesterday I received a card in the mail from my leader Mary. She is best leader Weight Watchers has ever found. The card was simple "We miss you and we're thinking of you" She inscribed it with "Keep fighting". I thought that losing the weight was going to be the hard part. It was relatively simple compared to keeping it off.

I have lost 5lbs. of what I have gained so I am getting closer to goal again. I will go to the WW meeting this Saturday no matter what the scale says. My fellow Weight Watchers helped me lose it, now I need their support again.

To my fellow 'losers'.
Keep fighting!

Good job, glad you're going back! I know a little of what that's like. I had only gained 20 lbs when I decided that was enough but I have been fighting to keep that 20 off for 3 years now. It's a daily battle (which is beating me by 4 lbs right now.) Different numbers, same battle.

Keep fighting the good fight!

I loved Dave's post as well, and no matter what the numbers are, it's all the same fight for all of us! The important thing is when we're down, to get back up and on the track again!

Funny how we let our fear of embarrassment hold us back from our own dreams and what would ultimately be best for us, isn't it? I think that is a self-esteem issue. I have the same issue.
Don't be embarrassed...they are more than happy to help you and accept you. You would do the same for any of them, I am sure!
Dive back in full force!!! :)
Good luck!!

Thank you buddy! Sry so late-work..
I appreciate the shout-out. I guess I had a bit of a breakdown the other day. The support has been great. That's what keeps me going, especially when I've lost the momentum you guys are there to pick me up!
Good luck at WW tomorrow and Saturday will be a new start!
